Udupi, Nov 23: Glowinstar Integrated School, Ambalpady celebrated the sports with sportsmanship spirits.

Dr Rashmi, the alumna of 2015 batch who was the chief guest on the occasion of the Annual Sports Day at Glowinstar Integrated School told the student athletes that winning is not important. "Developing the qualities of leadership, compassion is a part of sports day. Playing games is just not for the body. It is for the soul. Team work is the best way to win. In school developing the qualities of head and heart is important. Confidence is built in the school. Number of medals won are not important. In school if you fall your teachers will lift you, encourage you to get up and build the confidence in you. Developing personality at school lays the foundation for your future," she said. 

In his presidential address, school principal Dr T J Quadros, said, "Everyone has the potentiality to be the chief guest in your own school just like Dr Rashmi. The hard work and sacrifices will be rewarded. Life is a biggest race. All small races help us to win the biggest race in life. Life is a most precious gift of God. All school activities help us to lead a better life."

The school headmistress, Shantha Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Dhanvith B Salian, the school sports leader took the oath on behalf of all the student athletes. The students performed the march fast and various sports events were conducted. Neethew Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Riddhi A Kumar of 10th std.
