Udupi, Nov 24: Sripal K P, a lawyer, and Parvatheesha Bilidaale, a journalist, both members of the Naxal rehabilitation and surrender committee, visited the site at Nadpal Peethbail on Saturday, where Naxal leader Vikram Gowda was recently encountered.

The duo held discussions with the Adivasi families of Peethbailu, listening to their concerns. Sripal stated, “If any Naxal wishes to surrender, they can contact either me or Parvatheesh, and we will make all necessary arrangements to bring them back into mainstream society.”

Parvatheesh Bilidaale added, “The government should call a meeting soon to address these issues. It is crucial to discuss the problems faced by the Adivasis and the challenges posed by Naxal activities in the area.”

Sripal also urged the government to take swift action, as there is growing public demand for a judicial investigation into the encounter of Vikram Gowda.
