Fr Michael Mascarenhas, originally from Mangaluru and born in Mumbai, began the Don Bosco Institute in 2000 in the remote wilderness of Hosadu under the name Don Bosco Tech, offering vocational training to empower rural youth. Over the years, the institution became a beacon of hope for the youth in the region, transforming their futures.

In 2011, under the leadership of Fr Anand Noronha, Don Bosco Primary School was established to provide quality education to local students. The following years saw rapid expansion:

  • A CBSE Pre-University College was added in 2021, offering science and commerce streams.

Currently, the school provides high-quality education to around 485 students.

Fr Maxim highlighted that for the past 13 years, Don Bosco School has been known for its quality education, English communication skills, personality development through co-curricular activities, and innovative teaching supported by Lead School. The school also fosters creativity and critical thinking through modern technological education, including coding, STEM, and robotics.

Facilities include well-equipped classrooms, separate laboratories for science subjects, an air-conditioned computer lab with internet connectivity, a vast green football field, and indoor sports facilities.
