Bantwal: Man succumbs to injuries after falling from coconut tree; family donates eyes

Bantwal, Nov 28: A man who sustained critical injuries after falling from a coconut tree succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Giriappa (51), a resident of Sarapady Ekkudelu.

He fell while plucking coconuts on November 3 and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Giriappa is survived by his wife and three sons. In a noble gesture, his family donated his eyes.
