Mangaluru, Nov 28: Thieves broke into two schools in Kotekar and Kolya, under the jurisdiction of Ullal police station, and stole cash from the school offices during the early hours of Wednesday. The incident came to light when the school staff arrived in the morning.

The schools targeted were St Joseph’s Joyland English Medium School in Kolya and Stella Mary’s Kannada Medium School in Kotekar. The thieves turned the CCTV cameras away and broke the locks to gain access to the school premises.

This marks the third theft at Joyland School in Kolya. On previous occasions, thieves also stole cash. This time, the culprits broke the lock to the principal’s office, ransacked the cupboards, and took Rs 26,000 collected from students for a picnic.

At Stella Mary’s School in Kotekar, the theft occurred around 4:30 am on Wednesday. One of the thieves used a doormat to cover his face, attempting to hide his identity from CCTV cameras. It was reported that cash was stolen from the principal’s office.

Ullal police visited both schools for investigation. Since the thefts occurred at both locations around the same time, it is suspected that either the same person or a group of individuals was involved. Police are continuing their investigation into the incidents.

I am sure same persons were involved in this theft ,and who knew where money is hidden .Why dont you ask students or personal too?Instead of keeping money in office ,better bring money from Bank directly on the day or elsewhere. One day or other thieves /thief will be caught and then can be discussed.Or keep fake money in cupboard with ink or colour in money box ,that reveals then the person direct.
