Udupi, Nov 28: Juliana Helen D'Sa, a resident of Bolar Gudde Kalayibail in Udyavara and the wife of Udyavara gram panchayat senior member Lawrence D'Sa, passed away on Thursday, November 28 at her residence due to health issues. She was 56.

Juliana served as a teacher in several schools, including St Francis Xavier Higher Primary School in Udyavara and other schools across Karkala and nearby taluks. For the past several years, she was a teacher at the Main Government Higher Primary School in Bailur, Karkala. Known for her simplicity, she was a beloved teacher among students. She also served as the treasurer of the Lions Club in Udyavara and had won several medals in sports.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence D'Souza, who is the vice president of the St Francis Xavier Church parish council in Udyavara, a son, a daughter, the student community, and an extended family. The funeral rites will be held on Saturday, November 30 at the Udyavara church.
