Mangaluru, Nov 29: The Kankanady town police arrested a man in connection with a theft of Rs 94,540 in cash from the TVS Kanchana Workshop at Maroli, Mangaluru, reported on the night of November 19.
The arrested accused is identified as Nazir Mohammad (26), a rickshaw driver and a resident of Kannur, Mangaluru.
During the investigation, police recovered Rs 64,500 in cash from Nazir, along with a scooter, a mobile phone, a helmet, and the weapon used in the crime.
The total value of the recovered cash and assets amounts to Rs 1,31,700.
