New Delhi, Nov 29: Taking a dig at the media for floating speculative stories on the Cabinet expansion, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday asserted that there was no such proposal before him.
“It is the media which has been floating speculative news reports on the Cabinet expansion and mentions names of the possible new ministers. Therefore, it is the media which has to give the details,” he said ruling out cabinet expansion.
Siddaramaiah made it clear that he has not discussed about the possible expansion of his cabinet with either AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge or Congress Opposition leader in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
However, he indicated that former Minister B Nagendra, who had resigned following the Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation scam, would be reinducted in the cabinet. But the date is not decided, he said.
The Chief Minister said the ruling Congress party and the Backward Classes Federation will be holding a Swabhimani convention on December 5 at Hassan.
AICC President Mallikarjuna Khage and Congress party in charge General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala are being invited for the convention, he said.
He made it clear that he has no information on anonymous letter to Kharge against the convention and even Kharge has not discussed the issue with him.
