Mangaluru, Nov 30: Celebrating a decade in the film industry, actress Adhvithi Shetty is set to make her Tulu film debut in ‘Jai’, directed by and starring Roopesh Shetty.

Adhvithi, who began her cinematic journey alongside her twin sister Ashvithi Shetty in Mr and Mrs Ramachari a decade ago, has since acted in notable films such as Fan, Sugar Factory, Iravan, Bhramha Kamala and Dheera Samrat. In Jai, she portrays the role of a journalist, an opportunity she considers deeply meaningful.

"Working in a Tulu film has been a dream of mine, and my father always encouraged me to pursue it. I feel honoured to be part of Jai under Roopesh Shetty’s direction. He is a prominent figure in the Tulu film industry, and his dedication is inspiring," said Adhvithi.

She commended Roopesh Shetty's dual role as director and lead actor, stating, "It is no easy feat to handle both responsibilities, but Roopesh manages it with dedication. His work ethic motivates me to push my boundaries as well."

Reflecting on her decade-long career, Adhvithi said, "Reaching this milestone in such a competitive industry is a major achievement. From starting with no background in acting to evolving as a performer, I have worked hard to entertain my fans. Being part of a Tulu film like Jai is a feather in my cap, and I look forward to more opportunities in this industry."

Adhvithi also shared her growth journey, crediting the lessons she learned in professionalism, time management, and acting. "With each film, I have grown as an actor. My early days in Mr and Mrs Ramachari were a stepping stone to understanding the intricacies of cinema. Today, I approach my roles with a much deeper sense of responsibility and clarity," she added.

Expressing gratitude towards her fans, she said, "Their unwavering support has been my backbone for the past 10 years. To aspiring artists, I would say: Never give up. The journey has its challenges, but perseverance and hard work are the keys to success."
