Sports Day celebrated at Poornaprajna PU College, Udupi

Udupi, Dec 2: The annual sports day of Poornaprajna PU College, Udupi highlighted not only the athleticison, but also the team work and unbridled enthusiasm of the students. The events of the day started with the vibrant parade of students head held high. The march past honour was received by Dr P S Aithal, honourary decretary of the college.

With the blessings of Shree Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji, the inaugural programme began by lighting of the lamp by CA T Prashanth Holla, honourary treasurer of the institution. The guest of honour Ancilla D’souza Mathias, a national level medallist in throws and associate at legal intel, Udupi delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of sports in education and presented medals to the special achievers. The principal Prathima Baliga presided the programme.

This year students have arranged the food stalls, thereby, quenching the requirements of the athletics. Various events were held throughout the day. The annual sports day was a great success. The enthusiastic participation of the students and the support of the college management staff and parents marked the day.
