Udupi, Dec 2: The 22nd annual day of Glowinstar Integrated School, Ambalpady was held with fervour.
Chief guest Fr Denis D’Sa, parish priest St Anne's Church Thottam, on the occasion, shared inspiring insights with the parents, teachers and students. Drawing examples from the life of Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, he emphasized the significance of gratitude and reflection on this occasion. He highlighted three key aspects of annual day, "Thank God, Thank your Parents and Thank your School." "We must express our gratitude to God for giving this beautiful life, must always respect our Dronacharaya’s (teachers) and be a good human. Annual day is an opportunity to look into the past and evaluate progress. There is a ‘golden Buddha’ in every student and teachers must work to uncover their unique potential. The mistakes made by students should define or discourage them. God given natural intelligence is far superior to artificial intelligence. As a fundamental principle of human psychology, we must respect others irrespective of their caste, creed and religion,” he said.
Dr T J Quadros, principal, presiding over the event, said, “Annual day is a festival. It is a family occasion, where students get the opportunity to showcase their talents before their parents. Students are marble stones with beautiful statues hidden in them. It is the collective responsibility of teachers and parents to carve out that potential. Education is not about excelling in academics, but also in co-curricular activities, as both continue to bring out the best in an individual. We should never fail in the race of life. The best leaders often emerge from the most challenging circumstances.”
