Bantwal, Dec 2: Over 1,500 BJP workers from Bantwal will participate in a massive protest in Mangaluru on December 4, organised by the Hindu Hitarakshana Samithi, to condemn the ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
The protest follows the recent surge in attacks on the Hindu community, particularly after the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government and the rise of the military-backed Mohammad Yanas administration.
Bantwal Mandal BJP president, Chennappa Kotyan, confirmed that preparatory meetings have been held across all Shakti Kendras in the region to mobilise participants. Leaders from Shakti Kendras, booth committee members, district officials, and others will join the protest, under the leadership of MLA Rajesh U Naik.
The Hindu Hitarakshana Samithi also condemned the arrest of ISKCON leader Chinmayananda Krishna Das Prabhu, a vocal advocate for Hindu rights in Bangladesh. The protest is part of a nationwide movement by the Sangh Parivar to demand justice and protection for Hindus.
The press conference was attended by BJP leaders, including Dinesh Amturu, Shivaprasad Shetty, Sudarshan Baja, and Purushottam Shetty.
