Regional imbalance panel chief demands special emphasis for Kalyana Karnataka region

Bengaluru, Dec 4: Prof M Govinda Rao, Chairman of Karnataka Regional Imbalance Redressal Committee, met Dr Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, and demanded special emphasis for the development of the Kalyana Karnataka region.

Prof Rao, who called on the minister at Vikasa Soudha on Wednesday, explained the challenges faced by the Kalyana Karnataka region.

Prof. Rao and the Minister held in-depth discussions aimed at devising strategies to bridge developmental gaps in the area.

This interaction marks a significant step toward mitigating regional disparities and ensuring balanced development across the State.

Committee members M H Suryanarayan, S T Bagalkoti, Dr H Vasudeva Sedam, and Planning Department Director D Chandrashekara were also present during the meeting.
