Kasargod: 44-year-old man arrested with MDMA, cash seized

Kasargod, Dec 4: A 44-year-old man, identified as Abdul Sheikh from Mulyaru Mastikund, was arrested by Kasargod police for possessing 30.22 grams of MDMA.

The arrest occurred during a routine vehicle check at Kudlu Ramadas Nagar, Uliyattadka Parekatte Junction, where the drugs were discovered on his scooter. Police also seized Rs. 13,300 in cash from the accused.

The arrest is part of a wider crackdown on drug trafficking under the police's "Operation Safe Kasargod."

    More than 25% of the Muslim youth in Kasaragod district are involved in drugs. This is a scary development. Muslim leaders should take some initiative and arrange counselling for these drug peddlers
