Mahakumbh Nagar, Dec 12 (IANS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Thursday to review preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on Friday, where the latter is set to inaugurate projects worth thousands of crores for the Mahakumbh 2025.
During his visit, the Chief Minister conducted a detailed ground inspection of Mahakumbh Nagar and key locations such as the Sangam Nose, where the Prime Minister will perform rituals. He provided clear directives to officials to ensure seamless execution of the event.
The Chief Minister also inspected various important sites, including the temporary 100-bed hospital built in Sector One Parade, Akshay Vat, Saraswati Koop, and Hanuman temple.
In the temple, CM Yogi performed worship amid Vedic chanting, emphasising the spiritual significance of the event.
During his hospital inspection, CM Yogi reviewed the Emergency Ward, ICU, OPD, waiting area, main ward, female ward, children's ward and operation theatre.
The doctors briefed him about the advanced facilities available at the hospital, including the use of AI-powered cameras in the ICU and the high-tech AI messaging flow system.
PM Modi's visit will feature Ganga Aarti, a public address and worship at Sangam Nose.
After inspecting the hospital, CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the newly constructed jetty at Kila Ghat.
He directed officials to ensure adequate facilities for devotees, including bathing arrangements while maintaining robust security measures.
He then visited Sangam Nose, where PM Modi is set to perform rituals on Friday.
Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand briefed the CM on the arrangements for the PM Modi's cruise tour.
CM Yogi Adityanath conducted a thorough inspection, provided essential guidelines, and emphasised maintaining the cleanliness of Ganga river.
The Chief Minister also visited Bade Hanuman Mandir Corridor on the Sangam coast, where Phase-1 development is underway by the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA).
During the field inspection, CM Yogi was accompanied by Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantradev Singh, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi', Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh and former minister and MLA Siddharthnath Singh along with other leaders and officials.
