Kasargod, Dec 21: Devaki (45) from Kuntamgeradka in Kumble, was arrested by the policemen relating to a recent robbery. She is charged with robbing a woman after spraying some powder on the victim’s face, which rendered her unconscious.
Devaki was produced in the court, whereupon she was remanded to judicial custody.
Devaki has been accused of visiting a house in Kodyame belonging to Ashraf on Sunday December 18, and spraying some strange power on the face of Ashraf’s wife when she came outside, before fleeing after taking away the gold ornaments found around the woman’s neck. The policemen, who had registered a case, made the arrest after holding extensive investigation.
