Kundapur: Cyclist gets killed after car hits him on NH 66 in Kota

Kundapur, Dec 14: A tragic accident occurred on National Highway 66 near the Bellada Ganapati Temple at Gopparabetta, Kota, on Saturday, December 14, in the evening, when a car collided with a cyclist, resulting in his death.

The deceased, 48-year-old Suresh Marakala, a resident of Badahole in Saligrama and an employee at Janata Fish Mill, was cycling home after finishing work.

While traveling on NH 66 from Kota to Saligrama, a car travelling from Murdeshwar towards Bengaluru struck him from behind. The impact of the collision caused him to fall, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Kota Police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
