Mamata Objects to Pension Bill

New Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is learnt to have written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh raising certain objections against the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Bill, 2011.

The government may defer tabling of the bill, which was slated to be introduced in Parliament on Wednesday, said sources.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Monday had held a meeting with senior BJP leaders, including L.K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Yashwant Sinha to seek the BJP's support for the crucial legislation which is being opposed by Left parties.
