Udupi, Dec 16: Robosoft Technologies Private Limited, a company committed to environmental sustainability, is set to hand over six electric autos for village waste collection to the Zilla Panchayat at the Robosoft campus in Santhekatte at 10:30 am on December 19.

Robosoft Technologies, with its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and the promotion of green energy under the motto “Cleanliness is Service,” has partnered with the Udupi Zilla Panchayat in its mission for Swachh Bharat and Swasth Bharat. The electric autorickshaws will be used for waste collection in nearby villages.

Sham Rajesh, senior general manager of Robosoft Technologies, addressed the media during a press conference on December 16, saying, “Not many local bodies in Karnataka have used e-autos for waste collection. This initiative will be one of the first of its kind launched by local bodies in the state. The electric auto rickshaws will be distributed to grama panchayats by the Zilla Panchayat CEO. We believe that using electric vehicles in waste management, instead of the commonly used petrol or diesel vehicles, will have a great positive impact on environmental sustainability, minimising carbon emissions. It will also help the village panchayats keep the villages clean and safe from diseases.”

The electric autos will be handed over by managing director and CEO Ravi Teja Bommireddipalli, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Dr K Vidya Kumari and Udupi Zilla Panchayat CEO Pratheek Bayal.

The press conference was attended by company secretary Chakri Hegde, VP Shridaram Keshavan, and AVP accounts Krishna Raja Rao.
