New Delhi, Dec 19: Pushed to the wall over Union Home Amit Shah’s insult to Dr B R Ambedkar and the protest by Congress and other opposition members demanding an apology from the BJP leader, the ruling BJP MPs staged a counter protest in front of Parliament and demanded that Congress should apologise to the nation for insulting the architect of the Indian Constitution.

The ruling BJP MPs said it is the Congress which should apologise to the nation for its alleged 'murder of the Constitution'.

The protestors held posters against the Congress and raised slogans demanding an apology from the party. They asserted that the nation would not tolerate the insult to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. They further insisted that the Gandhi family, Rahul Gandhi, and the Congress party must apologize.

The BJP MPs including Basavaraj Bommai, Govind Karjol, Anurag Singh Thakur and Rajya Sabha members Ravi Shankar Prasad and Jaggesh were among the several participants in the protest.
