Mangaluru, Dec 20: The Christmas celebration at St Theresa’s School, Bendur, held on December 19, was a magnificent and heartwarming event that brought the entire school community together in the festive spirit of love, joy, and peace.
The festivities began with a meaningful introduction by the students of class II, setting the tone for the day. The little ones of LKG then enchanted the audience with a soulful prayer and prayer dance, evoking the spiritual essence of Christmas.
The students of class II extended a heartfelt welcome, followed by an energetic dance performance by the pre-KG students, spreading cheer and excitement. The stars of UKG captivated everyone with a beautifully enacted skit, preceded by a delightful introduction. Adding to the joy, Class II students performed a lively dance, preceded by an engaging narrative.
A mesmerizing theme skit and dance by the talented students of class I emerged as the highlight of the program, leaving the audience in awe of their creativity and enthusiasm. The program concluded with an inspiring Christmas message delivered by the esteemed chief guest, Fr Robin Santhumayor, assistant parish priest of Milagres Church. He encouraged everyone to embrace the spirit of sharing, love, and faith.
The Christmas Assembly, organized by classes 5C and 5D, was another significant part of the day. Held in the school’s main hall, the assembly featured a heartfelt play depicting the birth of Christ, symbolizing virtues like love, joy, hope, and peace through the vibrant Colors of the rainbow. Fr Denzil Lobo, the chief guest, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of love and sharing.
Adding to the celebration, a special programme by Class VI featured a captivating nativity dance drama, emphasising the significance of Christmas. The joy of the season was heightened by the melodious singing of Christmas carols, filling the hall with festive cheer.
The chief guest, Fr Walter D’Souza, in his address, reminded the audience of the core values of kindness, generosity, and compassion, which embody the true spirit of Christmas. The principal, Sr Lourdes BS, encouraged everyone to embrace small acts of love and kindness that can make a big difference in today’s world.
The celebration ended on a high note with the school anthem, leaving everyone with a heart full of joy and the spirit of Christmas. It was a day to remember, marked by unity, creativity, and the message of hope and love that Christmas brings.
