Kasargod, Dec 20: Udaya Higher Secondary School, Manjeshwar, celebrated the spirit of Christmas with grandeur and festive enthusiasm in the school auditorium. The event was graced by the presence of the campus director, Fr Santhosh D’Souza, principal Jerald Ivan Crasta, parents, students, and staff.

Fr Santhosh D’Souza, in his inspirational address, emphasized the essence of Christmas as a time of sharing and fostering harmony. He remarked, "When we share, happiness increases. We learn to live with anyone, care for others, practice patience, and accommodate everyone. By respecting others and joining in their happiness, we create a community of love and unity."

Principal Jerald Ivan Crasta reflected on the significance of the festival, encouraging students to embrace values like love and sharing in their lives. "Christmas is a time for reflection. Let the values of love and sharing be reflected in our actions," he urged.

The celebration featured vibrant cultural programmes, including a mesmerizing Christmas tableau that highlighted the nativity story. The performances, presented by students, added cheer and warmth to the event.

The chief guests, Ruksana and Divya Latha, along with the special guest teacher, Nidhi Shruthi (maths and science), graced the occasion and extended their festive wishes.

The event began with a warm welcome by Alwin Sijos, while the talented MCs, Jerwin Monteiro and Prinshal D’Souza, kept the audience engaged throughout the programme. Mohammed Shamhan delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
