Beltangady, Dec 24: “Co-operative societies have the topmost objective of buying farm produce at just price and Rubber Planters’ Marketing and Processing Co-operative Society, Ujire, plays a vital role in this regard,” said Sridar G Bhide, president, Rubber Planters’ Marketing and Processing Co-operative Society, Ujire.

Bhide was speaking at the valedictory function of the 10-day rubber tapping training camp organized by Rural Development and Self Employment Training (RUDSET) Institute at Ujire.

Guest lecturer Ravindra was present on the dais. RUDSET director M K S Prabhu welcomed the gathering.  Lecturer Anusuya compered the programme and James Abraham proposed the vote of thanks.

Thirty-one people from across Dakshina Kannada district participated in the training camp.
