Mangaluru, Dec 23: St Agnes School CBSE organized a comprehensive art integration session for its teaching faculty on December 21. The objective of the session was to enhance pedagogical strategies by incorporating artistic methods into the curriculum, enriching the educational experience for students.

The session was led by distinguished experts in art-integrated education: Dr Shwetha Kamath Shree, faculty at Gujarati English Medium School, and Mallika Hareesh, faculty at Manipal School Attavar, Mangaluru. Their focus was on acquainting teachers with various forms of art that can be seamlessly integrated into classroom teaching, thus promoting holistic student development.

The session commenced with a solemn prayer, seeking divine blessings for a fruitful learning experience, followed by an insightful overview of art integration and its significance in fostering well-rounded student growth. Sr Maria Sarika AC, the principal, extended a gracious welcome to the gathering, setting a positive and enthusiastic tone for the day.

The interactive session began with teachers participating in hands-on art activities, designed to be easily implemented in classrooms to offer students experiential learning opportunities. The resource persons demonstrated how art could be integrated into subjects such as mathematics, science, and language arts, making lessons more engaging and accessible.
