Rajajinagar Konkani Catholic Welfare Association organises silver jubilee celebration

Bengaluru, Dec 27: The silver jubilee of the Rajajinagar Konkani Catholic Welfare Association was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence.

The programme began with a thanksgiving Mass officiated by Archbishop Dr Peter Machado, Fr Maxim Dias, Fr Richard Saldanha (OCD), and Fr Tony from the spirituality center.

The silver jubilee cultural celebrations commenced with a graceful prayer dance by children, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by the founder members. The association president Alwin Saldanha welcomed the gathering, including the chief guest, founder members, and past presidents. The founder members and past presidents were honored for their invaluable contributions to the community.

Jerome D'Souza founder president took the audience on a nostalgic journey, revisiting the milestones achieved by the association since its inception in 2000. Vivian Pais, founder member, shared his reflections, emphasizing the like-minded vision that brought the Konkani community together as one. The Power Point presentation showcased the association’s journey.

The evening was filled with entertainment, featuring a vibrant musical performance by 'Melody Star' Manasa, Myna, Dolly, Baila Boom fame Maxim Pereira with the melodious music by team Glorious G Major, and a hilarious comedy show by the Memory team, leaving everyone with cherished memories of the celebration. The show was beautifully hosted and compered by Juliet Lewis engaging the audience until the very end.
