Bantwal: Woman dies of injuries following bus accident on Jog Falls trip

Bantwal, Dec 31: A woman has died of injuries sustained in a bus accident during her trip to Jog Falls.

On December 15, a private bus carrying 55 passengers from Shambhoor, B C Road, Panemangalore, and Mangaluru overturned due to a technical failure, just before reaching the destination of Jog Falls.

Bharathi (55), a resident of Shambhoor Mundajore, suffered severe arm and chest injuries. Despite being treated at A J Hospital in Mangaluru, she passed away after 15 days.

Her daughter, also injured in the accident, is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik ensured the timely medical support for the victims.
