New Delhi, Jan 10: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Wayanad MP and Congress general secretary, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to engage in immediate dialogue with agitating farmers and bring an end to Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s hunger strike.
“Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has been on a hunger strike for 45 days. His condition is continuously deteriorating. But the BJP government is not ready to take care of him. This stubbornness took the lives of 750 farmers in the farmers' movement.
Why so much cruelty towards farmers? I appeal to the Prime @narendramodi to please give up your ego and immediately talk to the farmers and end Dallewal ji's hunger strike,” the Congress leader wrote in a post on X.
