Mumbai, Jan 11: Actor Aamir Khan has revealed he has quit smoking after years of heavy consumption. Speaking at the trailer launch of his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming film Loveyapa, Aamir opened up about overcoming his addiction and urged others to do the same.

“I have given up smoking, something I loved very much. But tobacco is not good for health, and no one should do it,” Aamir shared. Reflecting on his decision, the actor revealed, “I’m happy to say I’ve quit this bad habit. My son’s career is starting, and I wanted to make this resolve as a father. It’s a sacrifice, hoping it creates positive energy in the universe. Please pray for him and his success.”

Aamir admitted he still smokes a pipe occasionally but emphasized the importance of quitting harmful habits.

Junaid Khan made his screen debut with Netflix’s Maharaj last year. His theatrical debut Loveyapa, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, is set to release on February 7. Aamir, meanwhile, will next be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par.
