Panaji, Jan 11: The Goa government has issued a directive requiring all heads of state government departments to actively listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio broadcast, "Mann Ki Baat," as a step towards drawing inspiration from its content to improve governance.

In a circular signed by Shreyas D’Silva, under secretary (general administration department), officials were urged to adopt innovative ideas and best practices discussed during the programme for enhanced service delivery.

“All Heads of State Government Departments are hereby directed to actively tune in to the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. Departments are encouraged to draw inspiration from the positive suggestions and best practices shared during the programme for implementation, to enhance governance and service delivery in the state of Goa,” the circular read.

The circular described the programme as a medium to exchange thoughts and ideas on daily governance issues, hosted by PM Modi since October 2014. It highlights recent government initiatives and addresses social concerns.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant took to X (formerly Twitter) to endorse the directive, stating: “All Heads of Government Departments in Goa are directed to actively tune in to #MannKiBaat. It is encouraged to draw inspiration from the success stories and best practices shared during the program, which have brought positive change across the nation. These insights shall be appropriately considered for adoption to improve governance and enhance service delivery in Goa.”

It aligns with our vision of a self-reliant and developed Goa (Swayampurna, Viksit Goa),” the Chief Minister noted.
