Panaji, Jan 11: Goa is set to showcase its iconic float at the Republic Day parade on January 26, marking its return after a two-year gap. The Goa tableau is currently undergoing final fabrication work in Delhi, with a team of 30 talented Goan artists, sculptors, carpenters, and artisans working tirelessly to bring the float to life for the grand occasion at Kartavya Path.

Led by renowned Goan artists Sushant Khedekar and Purnanand Paidarkar, the fabrication process is coming together with precision and creativity. The musical composition for the tableau is crafted by Saish Deshpande, while a lively dance performance will be presented by a troupe of skilled performers, directed by Dinesh Priolkar. Costumes for the performance have been designed by Sangeeta and Avani Khedekar.

Once displayed at the Republic Day parade, the Goa tableau will also be a part of the Bharat Parv celebrations at Red Fort in Delhi from January 26 to 31. Goa will join 15 other states, 11 ministries, and government departments in this prestigious event.

The Goa tableau was carefully selected and approved by the expert committee formed by the Defence Ministry, which assessed the design, theme, and overall visual appeal before granting approval for the grand presentation.
