MahaYuti triumph: BJP restores stability in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Jan 13: Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday hailed the BJP-led MahaYuti's sweeping victory in Maharashtra, declaring it a historic moment that has “put the country’s politics back on track” by dismantling the politics of betrayal attributed to Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray.

Addressing a jubilant gathering at the state BJP meeting, Shah lauded the cadre’s efforts in ensuring stability after decades of political turmoil, from 1978 to 2024.
“You have sent a resounding message to those opposing Hindutva and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development politics. By supporting the real Shiv Sena and nationalist forces, Maharashtra has rejected dynasty politics and betrayal,” Shah stated.

Targeting Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray, Shah remarked, “Pawar’s 1978 rebellion and Thackeray’s betrayal in 2019 have been answered by the people. Maharashtra has shown its unwavering support for Balasaheb Thackeray’s vision and the leadership of Eknath Shinde.”

He credited the BJP's triumph to the unwavering dedication of its workers. “You are the architects of this great victory. This mandate is a slap on the face of those who mislead and deceive. Maharashtra has embraced Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena as the true flagbearer of Balasaheb's ideology and Ajit Pawar’s NCP as the authentic voice of the people,” he asserted.

Exhorting the cadre to gear up for upcoming local and civic polls, Shah reiterated, “Our goal is BJP from panchayat to parliament. We must ensure a crushing defeat for the Maha Vikas Aghadi.”

He also highlighted the NDA government’s achievements, including the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, abrogation of Article 370, and plans to eradicate left-wing extremism by 2026.

Shah showered praise on CM Devendra Fadnavis, affirming his commitment to making Maharashtra drought-free and resolving farmer issues within five years. Criticizing Sharad Pawar’s tenure as agriculture minister, Shah remarked, “Despite decades of influence, Pawar failed to address agrarian distress. The BJP is committed to bringing water to every farm under Fadnavis' leadership.”

Predicting the BJP’s triumph in the Delhi assembly elections, Shah called for preparations for a grand celebration on February 8.

This victory, Shah emphasized, is a testament to the BJP's tradition of fulfilling promises and delivering results.
