Mangaluru, Jan 14: Daijiworld Films has officially announced the title of its debut Konkani movie project, Bapachem Putache Navim. The poster for the film unveiled on Tuesday, January 14, coinciding with the 24th anniversary of Daijiworld.com, the mother institution behind the production.
Produced by Michael D'Souza, an NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist, under his vision Konkani project, Bapachem Putache Navim is written and directed by Stany Bela, a well-known figure in Konkani serials and stage shows.
The movie aims to address a particular social issue in contemporary society through a unique tri-dimensional perspective. According to the production house, the film departs from the conventional style of Konkani cinema, opting for a more modern filmmaking approach. The shooting has been completed, and post-production work is currently underway. The movie is expected to be released in theaters soon.
The project features the cinematography of the experienced Joel Shaman, while the script supervision and executive production are handled by talented Kannada-Tulu director Arjun Lewis. Additionally, renowned Konkani music director Sanjay Rodrigues marks his entry into the music industry with this film. The editing is managed by Young Kevin Shervin Mascarenhas, known for his work on Marfi. Another musical sensation Loy Valentine is handling SFX and audio mixing of the project
The movie also boasts a stellar cast, with prominent figures from the Konkani stage, including Dayan D'Souza, Mukamar, Mellu Valencia, Walter Nandalike, Ron London, Eddie Siqueira, Cyril Mundrel, Rita Fernandes, Sunitha Menezes, Violet Kateel, Alwyn Danthi and Sapna Saldanha. Alongside these seasoned performers, fresh faces from the Konkani entertainment world, such as Joshal D'Souza, Sweedal D'Souza, Vinutha D'Souza, Jancy Fernandes, Shanthi Priya Lasrado, and Melwyn Kalakul, will also be featured.
With a promising team and a fresh perspective on Konkani cinema, Bapachem Putache Navim is set to be a significant addition to the Konkani film industry.
