Mangaluru, Jan 25: "A person grows as their thinking grows. With an improved vision, one can contribute to the development of society," said the chancellor of Srinivas University and president of the Adka Shamarao Foundation, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Srinivas University's new campus building, located on Old Kent Road, Pandeshwara, on January 24. The building, owned by Bajpe Zakariya, CEO of Almuzain, was constructed under the leadership of Mustafa, MD of New Bharath Infrastructure, and handed over to Srinivas University.
In his presidential address, Dr Raghavendra Rao emphasized the importance of the new facility. "This campus will serve as a foundation for the future of our students. Mustafa and Bajpe Zakariya are deeply committed to the development of education and the economy. Their contributions are pivotal to creating opportunities for students to thrive. At Srinivas University, we are dedicated to preparing students with the skills needed to succeed in the industry and contribute to the nation’s growth," he said.
Chief guest Bajpe Zakariya expressed his vision for the newly inaugurated campus. "This building represents my belief that every child deserves access to quality education and the opportunity to shape their future. I am proud to see that Srinivas University students will benefit from this state-of-the-art facility and take a step closer to realizing their dreams," he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mustafa, MD of New Bharath Infrastructure, who managed the construction of the building, highlighted its significance. "This building is not just a structure; it is a symbol of dedication, discipline, and vision. I urge students to cultivate these qualities as they shape their future. Respect your teachers, have a dream, and aim to achieve greatness," he remarked.
Dr A Srinivas Rao, the honourable pro-chancellor of Srinivas University and vice president of the Adka Shamarao Foundation, commended the efforts behind the project and encouraged students to make the most of the new campus. "Students should view this new campus as an opportunity to say ‘I am possible’ instead of ‘impossible.’ Facilities like these are designed to empower you and shape a brighter future," he said.
The event was attended by Srinivas University academics registrar Dr Adithya Kumar Mayya, development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar, IMC dean Dr Venkatesh Amin, IPSLM dean Dr Sonia Noronha, IP dean Dr Trishala Noronha, institute of education dean Dr Padmanabha CH., IAS dean Dr Pavitra Kumari, and IHMT dean Prof Prashanth Prabhu.
The gathering was welcomed by Srinivas University registrar, Dr Anil Kumar, while the ICIS dean, Dr Subramanya Bhat, delivered the vote of thanks.
