Mangaluru, Jan 25: The Yenepoya dental education unit in association with Yenepoya Center for faculty development, organised a day-long workshop on Geriatric Interprofessional Education Programme (GIEP) workshop. The Welcome address was given by Dr Imran Pasha M, workshop coordinator.
Dr Sham S Bhat, dean faculty of dentistry delivered the Inaugural address and highlighted the need for such programme. Principal Dr Laxmikanth Chatra delivered the presidential address and suggested that IPE education is the most needed in the current scenario.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Vinita Boloor, coordinator, YDEU. Dr Saleem faculty Yenepoya Pharmacy College were present in the programme. The workshop was divided into 4 sessions/modules, conducted by Dr Imran Pasha M and Dr Rashmi Jain professor ophthalmology.
There were total of 71 participants from the YDC, pharmacy college and allied health sciences students. The modules were made available for the students on the Rayyan Learning Management System, specially developed for the programme by the Yenepoya Technology Incubator.
