Media Release

Mangaluru, Jan 25: On January 24, St Theresa's School bid an emotional yet inspiring farewell to its Class X students, celebrating their journey and achievements with the theme, "Sky is Not the Limit."

The day began with a solemn thanksgiving Mass at St Sebastian Church, officiated by Fr Ivan D'Souza. The liturgy was a heartfelt occasion dedicated to the outgoing students, during which Fr Ivan encouraged them to embrace Christian values and strive to become responsible, conscientious citizens of the world.

Following the Mass, the students embarked on a spiritual journey, visiting the tomb of Fr R F C Mascarenhas, the visionary founder of the Bethany Congregation. This moment of reflection and prayer allowed them to seek inspiration and guidance for their future endeavours. At the Bethany Generalate, superior general Sr Rose Celine and her council members warmly welcomed the students, offering blessings and words of encouragement for their upcoming board examinations and life beyond school.

The celebrations continued in the school hall, where Grade IX students organised a vibrant and meticulously planned farewell programme. The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer service, invoking blessings for the outgoing batch. This was followed by an inspiring skit, lively dance performances, and a melodious farewell song, all dedicated to the cherished seniors.

In her address, principal Sr Lourdes lauded the creativity and dedication of the grade IX students in organising the event. She inspired the outgoing batch to uphold the school’s core values and to carry forward the spirit of a true Theresian in all their future endeavours. Sr Reena, the vice-principal, and Sr Chrisette joined Sr Lourdes in presenting mementos to the students as tokens of appreciation and gratitude for their contributions to the school community.

The farewell concluded on a joyous note, with a delightful spread of refreshments, group photographs, and heartfelt exchanges between students and teachers. The day left an indelible mark on all attendees, encapsulating the essence of gratitude, unity, and celebration as the Class X students prepared to embark on their next chapter of life.
