Mangaluru, Jan 27: St Theresa’s School celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotism through a series of vibrant events.
The primary section observed Republic Day with a cultural programme hosted by classes 4C and 4D on January 22. The event featured a meaningful prayer service, patriotic dances, and a thought-provoking mime show. Chief guest, Anoop Saldanha, praised the students’ creativity and emphasized the importance of hard work, while principal Sr Lourdes commended their efforts.
The high school students also celebrated the occasion with a cultural show presented by classes 7C and 7D. The programme included patriotic songs, dances, and skits that highlighted constitutional values. Chief guest, Delna Lobo, vice principal of St Aloysius BEd College, encouraged students to uphold the ideals of Dr B R Ambedkar.
The main celebration on January 26 marked the 76th Republic Day and took place on the school grounds. The programme began with a prayer and a reflection on the significance of the day. This was followed by the unfurling of the National Flag by the principal, Sr Lourdes BS, as the National anthem echoed across the campus. In her speech, Sr Lourdes exhorted everyone to uphold the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in our Constitution.
These celebrations reflected the school’s unwavering commitment to fostering national pride, unity, and a deep respect for the constitution.
