Bantwal, Jan 27: Clara Menezes, a resident of Mahal Thota in Amtadi village and currently a lecturer at Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi district, has been awarded a PhD degree by Sri Srinivasa Vanam Dravidian University, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh.

She earned the degree for her research thesis titled "Retailing in India: Trends and Challenges, A Study with Reference to Karnataka State."

According to a press release, Dr M R Hegde, director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, guided her research.
