Mangalore: AMBIT to Hold 'Short Film Competition 2011' Jan 15

Mangalore, Jan 7: In order to facilitate and promote film making regionally, AMBIT organizes short film competition every year. The festival will screen a grand total of twenty one short films for ‘AMBIT Short Film Competition 2011’ Entries have come from all over Karnataka and a few from states including from FTII, Pune and Kerala in languages including Kannada, Tulu, Malayalam and Hindi.

Festival to show all films is organized at Seminar Hall, Canara First Grade College, Kodialbail from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm on Sunday January 15.

Veteran film makers, winners of several state and national awards with an experience of serving in important film award committees P Sheshadri and P H Vishwanath has been in the jury with M .Abdul Rehman Pasha in the Jury Chair.

AMBIT Short Films Excellence Awards will be given to the three best films chosen by our Jury, and announced by the Jury chair.

Before screening of each film the director, producer, cast and technical team of that film will be introduced to the audience.
