Ghaziabad, Feb 1: A massive fire broke out in a truck carrying LPG cylinders at Bhopura Chowk, located on the Delhi-Wazirabad Road in the Thana Teela Mod area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The fire department received an alert at 4:45 am, and eight fire engines were immediately dispatched to the site.

In a video captured from a distance of 2-3 km from the scene, loud explosions can be heard as the fire consumed the truck loaded with gas cylinders. Chief fire officer Rahul Kumar confirmed that the fire brigade was on-site but could not approach the truck due to continuous cylinder explosions. The blasts were reportedly audible for several kilometres around the area.

According to Kumar, fire tenders were dispatched after receiving the report at around 4:35 am, and local police evacuated nearby houses to ensure safety. The blaze spread to two or three houses, as well as nearby vehicles, but it has since been fully extinguished. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, the incident has caused panic among locals. One witness mentioned that a nearby hotel was damaged, with broken mirrors, while another reported that a nearby wooden godown and a house were affected by the blaze. Emergency operations are continuing, and further updates are awaited.
