Kundapur: Free health check-up, blood donation camp held in Hemmadi

Kundapur, Feb 3: Free health check-up and blood donation camp were organized in Kundapur with the assistance of specialist doctors from various hospitals. The camp held at the premises of Janatha Pre-University College, Hemmadi on Sunday.

The event was jointly organized by Adarsha Hospital Udupi, Lions Club Kundapura, Janatha College, Janatha High School, Mahavishnu Youth Forum Haragodu, Gangolli Primary Health Center, Red Cross Blood Bank Kundapura, Kundapura taluk Health Cooperative Society, Namma Paraspara Asare Society, Namma Bhoomi CWC Kanyana, Mahishamardini Youth Forum Bagwadi, Sri Nandikeshwara Youth Committee, Sri Marikamba Youth Committee, Manasa Yuvati Mandal Haragodu, Mahakali Sanjeevini Federation Katbelluru, and Ashakirana Sanjeevini Federation Hemmadi.

Vasudeva Yadiyal, president of the Kundapura Taluk Health Cooperative Society said that regular health check-ups help individuals maintain a healthy lifestyle. Dr Ravindra Lions Club Kundapura secretary presided over the event.

The team of doctors from Adarsha Hospital Udupi included Dr Arun Kumar, Dr Sudeep Shetty, Dr Ranjitha Nayak, and Dr Jayaram Nambiar were present. Manju Kalavara, headmaster of Hemmady Janatha High School, CHO Harinakshi, Sujata, Gangolli Primary Health Center , Deepak Raj, president, Youth Forum, Geetha Devadiga, president, Yuvati Mandal, Anusuya Acharya, representatives from the Indian Red Cross Society Kundapura Blood Bank were present.

Narasimha Ganiga from Mahavishnu Youth Forum welcomed the gathering, Srinivasa Ganiga, director of Namma Bhoomi CWC, delivered the keynote address. Ravi Devadiga delivered the vote of thanks. The event was compered by Prasad Acharya.
