Grand dedication ceremony held at newly renovated Kapu Shri Hosa Marigudi Temple

Kaup, Feb 10: A grand celebration took place on Sunday February 9, at the newly renovated Kapu Shri Hosa Marigudi Temple, ahead of dedication of the renovated temple, where devotees and donors contributed to the offering of a golden throne, a silver chariot, gold-plated idol faces of Goddess Mariyamma and Goddess Uchchangi, along with a pedestal and ornaments. A magnificent procession was held before the formal dedication of these offerings.

During the event, the donations made by devotees were unveiled. The newly built golden throne, which cost approximately Rs 15 crore and was constructed using gold donated by devotees, was inaugurated by Shri Vidyasagar Teertha Swamiji, the pontiff of the Udupi Shri Krishnapura Matha.

The silver chariot was donated by philanthropists Thonse Anand M Shetty and Shashirekha Anand Shetty from Mumbai. A newly installed five-foot-high bronze bell was gifted by eminent donors Aravind Shetty and Pallavi Aravind Shetty. The gold-plated idol faces of Goddess Mariyamma and Goddess Uchchangi were presented by temple renovation committee president K Vasudeva Shetty and Beena Vasudeva Shetty. Dr Prashant P Shetty and Dr Panna Prashant Shetty contributed the golden ornaments for the deity, while the temple’s grand entrance was inaugurated by Ravi Sundar Shetty and his family.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Ma?ila Mohanadas Paramahamsa Swamiji, chief priest Vidwan Shri Korangrapadi Kumar Guru Tantri, and head priest vedic scholar Shri Srinivasa Tantri. Key figures such as development committee chairman and MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, Honorary president and former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, Brahmakalashotsava committee president Dr K Prakash Shetty, temple management committee president Nadikere Ratnakar Shetty, Golden Throne dedication committee president Ravi Sundar Shetty, and procession committee president Kapu Divakar Shetty Kotwalaguttu were present.

Other distinguished attendees included Navadurga Lekhana Yagna committee president and former MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Brahmakalashotsava committee vice president Yogish V Shetty, former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, MLA Sunil Kumar, renovation committee vice presidents Belapu Devi Prasad Shetty, Madhav R Palan, Manohar S Shetty, and other key figures such as Suhas Hegde Nandalike, Hariappa Kotyan, Jay C Kotyan Bellampalli, Krishna Prasad, Rajshekhar Kotyan, Uday Kumar Shetty Muniyalu, Ashok Kumar Shetty, Prabhakar Shetty Mandagadde, Dharmapal Devadiga, Madhav Shetty Puna, K Vishwanath, Sandeep Kumar Manja, Sudarshan Nayak, Geetanjali M Suvarna, and Savitri Ganesh from the temple management committee.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from committee members, officials of various organizations, and a large number of devotees, making it a historic and spiritual milestone for the temple.
