Mangaluru: Jeep overturns after crashing into bus and bike; two injured

Mangaluru, Feb 12: A speeding jeep lost control and crashed into the rear of a Kerala transport bus before colliding with a motorcycle on National Highway 66 near Adankudru on Wednesday evening. The impact caused the jeep to overturn, leaving two bike riders injured.

The incident occurred when the jeep, traveling from Mangaluru towards Kasargod, rammed into the back of the Kerala transport bus due to excessive speed and reckless driving. In an attempt to regain control, the driver swerved left, hitting a motorcycle carrying two riders before the jeep overturned into a roadside ditch.

The accident led to traffic disruptions on the highway for several hours. Mangaluru south traffic police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
