Mangalore: Brawl Among College Students Solved Amicably

Mangalore, Jan 11: It is learnt that students of a private college in Mulky came to blows, and that the issue was settled amicably by the college management recently. The incident came to light on Tuesday.

Allegedly, eight students including Abhishek Suvarna from Mulur, a second year degree student of the college, assaulted a second year PU student, Taufeeq, and second year BBM degree student, Tauseef. The victims filed complaint in Mulky police station and got themselves admitted into the government hospital at Mulky.

In the meantime, Abhishek Suvarna got admitted in Padubidri hospital, duly alleging in a police complaint that Taufeeq and Tauseef had assaulted him.

As leaders of the respective communities came out in support the students concerned, the atmosphere had turned tense. The policemen, who brought the leaders of the two communities and students to the negotiating table in the presence of college management, closed the case after warning the students and getting bonds executed by them, it is learnt.
