Mysuru, Feb 16: Popular Kannada actor Dhananjaya, known as the film industry's most eligible bachelor, tied the knot with Dr Dhanyatha, a doctor from Chitradurga.

A special wedding set resembling the Chamundeshwari Temple was created at the exhibition grounds within the Ambavilas Palace premises in Mysuru for the ceremony. The wedding rituals took place with several film stars and politicians attending to bless the couple.

The wedding reception, held on Saturday (February 15), was attended by friends, fans, politicians, and film celebrities, with an estimated 30,000 to 50,000 people present. The news of Dhananjaya's wedding went viral.

"I wanted a Mantra Mangalya, Vachana Mangalya, and a registered marriage. Our family members, film industry colleagues, and friends should all be served food. So, we decided to hold the wedding on a single platform where everyone could bless us. The wedding stage was designed in the model of the Chamundeshwari Temple. The food arrangement followed the South Indian tradition. There were separate dining arrangements for fans and VIPs, but the menu remained the same for everyone. I invited everyone to come and bless us," said actor Dhananjaya.
