Moodbidri, Feb 17: Carmel School takes pride in celebrating the remarkable achievement of Joanne Riona Pinto who showcased her strategic brilliance at the Dakshina Kannada District Chess Championships - 2025 held at SDM School, Ashok Nagar Mangaluru.

Competing in the U-7 Girls Category Joanne displayed exceptional skill and determination participating in five intense rounds. She secured 2½ points earning a commendable 4th place in the merit list.

The tournament organized by the Dakshina Kannada Chess Association witnessed a gathering of young chess prodigies each demonstrating remarkable talent and sportsmanship. Joanne’s outstanding performance reflects her dedication and passion for the game making her a proud ambassador of Carmel School Moodbidri.
