Bengaluru, Feb 18: Taking potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet slogans of Amrit Kaal and Vikshit Bharat, Karnataka’s IT/BT and Rural Development Minister Priyank Kharge has lampooned the Modi regime.

Priyank Kharge, who is AICC President Mallikarjuuna Kharge’s son, has in a post on X, said India’s total market capitalization drops below $4 trillion and hits 14-month low.

Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) firms, have withdrawn Rs 21,272 crore from Indian equities market in Februry with the total outflow nearing Rs 1 lakh crore in 2025.

The Indian rupee has declined over 2% so far in 2025 and is the worst performer among major Asian currencies.

The minister further said the Vishwaguru (Modi) tries to dazzle the US with his 'game changing' slogan of MAGA + MIGA = MEGA, only making things worse for India by getting frced to pay highest reciprocal taxes in the world at ~29%, buy expensive US oil and forego cheaper oil, buy significantly expensive and faulty F-35 jets from US, forced to ditch BRICS and maintain dollar currency hegemony.

This is the Amirt Kaal and Vikshit Bharat under Modi regime, said Priyank Kharge.
