Mangaluru, Feb 18: The members of Philately Club of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru visited the Head Post Office, Pandeshwar on February 13 to delve into the world of philately and gain deeper insights into postal and philatelic services. The visit aimed to enrich their knowledge and understanding of the postal system’s operations.

During the visit, students observed various postal operations, including stamp weighing and parcel handling. They were also introduced to an extensive collection of stamps, featuring rare and commemorative editions. The enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff of the post office eagerly interacted with the students, sharing their expertise and offering valuable insights into the fascinating world of stamp collection.

The visit to the post office was a valuable and enriching experience for the members of the Philately Club, providing them with a deeper understanding of the postal system. They also enjoyed the hands-on experience of posting letters to their relatives and friends.

The club mentors, Trs Vani and Ashwini Nayak organised this field trip as part of the club’s activities. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the post office staff for their warm hospitality and for sharing their knowledge.
