Mangaluru: St Aloysius University to hold Pradhan Mantri internship scheme programme

Mangaluru, Feb 19: A programme related to the Pradhan Mantri internship scheme will be held at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), on February 21 at 11 am and 2.30 pm the college management said in a press release.

Nodal officer of Pradhan Mantri internship scheme, Karnataka, Venkataraman K will be present with his team to highlight the features of this scheme. In addition, representatives of some companies offering internship opportunities under this scheme will also participate in the programme and share information about the opportunities available. Any interested students or unemployed youth can participate in this programme.

One of the ambitious schemes of the Government of India, announced in the budget last year, the Pradhan Mantri internship scheme offers one-year paid internship opportunities to youth in top companies in India. More than 350 companies across India are offering more than one lac opportunities in 25 sectors. Unemployed youth between the ages of 21 and 25 who are not in full-time education or have not benefited from any government skilling programmes can apply for internships. Candidates with a qualification ranging from 10th pass to ITI, diploma, degree are eligible for internship opportunities.
