Mangaluru, Feb 20: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) is set to host TEDxStAloysius 2025, an independently organized TED event, with the theme ‘A Twist of Tales’. The event will feature a diverse lineup of speakers from various fields, sharing ideas that challenge conventions and inspire change.
Addressing a press meet, registrar Dr Alwyn D’Sa, convenor Dr Smitha D K, PRO Chandrakala, student coordinator Rayyan Khan, and PR head Mariyam Ridha provided insights into the upcoming event.
TEDxStAloysius 2025 aims to bring together thought leaders, innovators, and storytellers to explore pivotal moments that redefine possibilities. "Every tale holds the power to shape the world. Some fade into whispers, while others revolutionize perspectives. Our theme, ‘A Twist of Tales’, celebrates these transformative moments," the organisers stated.
Speakers at TEDxStAloysius 2025
The event will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers, including:
- Kiran Dembla: Former classical singer turned fitness icon and celebrity trainer, known for her transformation journey and success at the 2013 World Bodybuilding Championship.
- Shirsh Bajpai (PapaOcus): Co-founder of Aevy, shaping digital content with over 30 million monthly views, and mentor at Aevy Video School.
- Wencita Dias: Beauty queen, actress, and national-level poetry reciter, crowned Miss Teen Karnataka 2019 and Miss Teen World Super Model Global.
- Dr Manu Melwin Joy: Assistant professor at CUSAT and an expert in gamification and HR development, with numerous research contributions and international recognition.
- Sadashiv K Shetty: Chairman and executive director of Heranba Industries Ltd, a leader in the agrochemical sector with over three decades of experience.
- Dr Yusuf Kumble: Renowned cardiologist and founder of Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute Ltd, instrumental in pioneering advanced cardiac procedures in the region.
- Poonam Vaidya: Senior inclusion and diversity analyst, storyteller, and advocate for authentic disability representation.
- Sanjay R Hegde: Senior advocate at the Supreme Court, known for his expertise in civil rights and constitutional law.
- Zamzeer Ahamed: Entrepreneur, CEO, and co-founder of KunafaWorld, finalist on Shark Tank India Season 1, and former MTV Roadies contestant.
