Mangaluru, Feb 25: The Tulu film "Middle Class Family," presented by Rohan Corporation and produced by Vaibhav Flicks, Mango Pickle Entertainment Productions, and HPR Films in association with Hariprasad Rai, has successfully completed 25 days in theatres. Produced by Anand N Kumpala and directed by Rahul Amin, the film has been receiving a great response from audiences across all centres in the coastal districts.

The movie has been well received in theatres, with audiences appreciating its engaging storyline. Premier shows have already been held in Gulf countries, and there is growing demand for repeat screenings. Plans are also underway for releases in Mumbai, Pune, and other locations, with preparations in progress.

"Middle Class Family" is another offering from the team behind Raj Sounds and Lights. Director Rahul Amin, who previously impressed with that project, has once again delivered a commendable effort. The film has provided a boost to the Tulu film industry, which is gradually regaining its momentum. Made on a big budget of over Rs 2 crore, the movie has been particularly well received by women and children.

Comedy actors like Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Umesh Mijar, Ravi Ramakunja, Prasanna Bailoor, and Sandeep Shetty have entertained audiences, while Naveen D Padil's unique role has been widely appreciated. Lead actors Vineeth Kumar and Samata Amin have won over audiences with their performances. Rahul Amin's portrayal of the antagonist has introduced a new mannerism to the character. Other notable roles include Kadri Navneeth Shetty, Sahil Rai, Roopa Varkadi, Chaitra Shetty, Shobha Rai, Mime Ramdas, and Chidanand.

The movie is currently being screened successfully in theatres including Roopavani, Big Cinemas at Bharat Mall, PVR, Cinépolis, and Bharat Cinemas in Deralakatte, Puttur, and Padubidri. It is also running in Kalpana and Bharat Cinemas in Udupi, INOX and Bharat Cinemas in Manipal, Bharat Cinemas in Beltangady, Nataraj and Cine Galaxy in Surathkal, and Planet and Radhika in Karkala.

Despite entering its third successful week, the film is facing issues with revenue-sharing percentages in multiplexes. While Kannada films receive 50% in the first week, 47.5% in the second week, and 45% in the third, Tulu films receive 50% in the first week, 40% in the second, and only 30% from the third week onwards. This disparity has been seen as unfair to the Tulu film industry. Previously, only the Tulu movie "Circus" was given the same percentage structure as Kannada films.

Even though "Middle Class Family" is a big-budget film running houseful, producers are only receiving 30% of the revenue, dealing a financial blow to the makers. To attract more audiences, the team recently held free screenings in Mangaluru, Surathkal, and Udupi on Sunday.
